I apologize for not being much of a poster so far, sorry to disappoint the handful of you. Since I have last posted we (I) have made to new brews that we now have on Tap! One hot item Whit and I bought during the holidays was a GE 7 CF (FCM7SUWW) freezer and a regulator to control the temperature.
The freezer will be turned into what we call in the homebrew world a "Keezer". This is a kegerator that is made with the freezer instead of a refrigerator. It will be a while before the project gets completed because it is hard to do some woodworking while in a small apartment. I will post pictures of the completed project once that happens. Do not hold your breath!
Back to the brews. The 1st one we made was a Belhaven Scottish Ale clone. This one was not our favorite beer that we've made but still very drinkable. It doesn't quite compare to the real Belhaven Scottish Ale as it is a little more bitter and darker in color.
The next beer I made was a Sierra Nevada Clone called Sierra Nirvana. The recipe is from the Local Homebrew Shop. I just kegged this beer yesterday so it'll be a few weeks to get it carbonate up and condition before drinking. I did have a taste of it while taking the final gravity and it was coming along very very nicely! This one is at 5.4% alcohol.
We have one more 5 gallon keg to fill so our pipeline isn't completely full yet. We will take your suggestions.
Until next time Cheers!
